About
Linda Ersson
Historic Milliner & Dress History Specialist
I’m a dedicated milliner with a passion for bringing history to life through carefully crafted, bespoke hats. With two years of millinery school, a journeyman’s letter, and education in dress history as my foundation, I’ve specialized in historic headwear — combining traditional craftsmanship with thorough historical research.
During my training, I interned at the Oslo National Theater, where I contributed to hats for several theatrical productions. Since graduating in 2024, I’ve been creating custom pieces for clients all over Europe, ranging from theaters, historical reenactors to people who just want a great hat, tailoring each one to meet their unique needs.
What sets my work apart is the blend of practical millinery skill and deep knowledge of dress history. Ongoing historical research is at the core of my practice, allowing me to offer accurate, period-informed designs — and thoughtful advice along the way.
In addition to my custom work, I offer workshops and lectures on historic millinery and dress history — perfect for reenactors, museums, and anyone curious about traditional hat-making techniques.
Outside of my professional work, I’ve been an active reenactor since 2016, participating in national and international events. I also spent nearly a decade sailing traditional ships, which has given me a unique perspective on historical fashion, functionality, and life in period clothing.
Whether you’re looking for a custom hat, a hands-on workshop, or guidance in historic dress and millinery, I bring both skill and passion to every project — with a personal touch.
